„Penelope und die Märchenritter“ (eng.: "Penelope and The Fairytale Knights") is an unfinished animated pilot episode from my winter semester of 2025/2026.

This project was made during my 5th semester film project class taught by Tim Dübert. Under the theme of “trash film,” our teacher encouraged us to create any kind of film we would potentially submit to a film festival.

Yeah, I did not finish this film. It is a perfect example of biting off more than one can chew. Originally, I wanted to animate the entire five-and-a-half-minute film frame by frame, but with half of the semester already over, no finish line in sight, and one particularly miserable evening later, I decided to change course.

Instead of continuing with frame-by-frame animation, I switched to Moho (much to the dismay of my teacher — I’m joking). I had already experimented with Moho during my summer break and realized that if I wanted to have *anything* to show by the end of the semester, I needed to act quickly. So after Christmas, I started rigging, creating smart bones, and endlessly googling tutorials, and this was the result after a month.
